Hemp + Pumpkin Seed Milk
I am all about making seed milks because you don’t have to strain them like you do with most nut milks. Who has time to strain nut milk lol?! A lot of store-bought nut and seed milks include gums, fillers and preservatives that can upset digestion which is why I like making my own at home! It’s also fun to get creative with combining different seeds, spices and sweeteners. My refrigerator is always stocked with mason jars filled with various raw seeds such as hemp seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds. Pro tip ~ store raw nuts, seeds and superfoods in the refrigerator to keep them fresh. One of my favorite seed milk combos is hemp + pumpkin seed milk ~ its packed with protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. Super healthy and easy to make!
Hemp + Pumpkin Seed Milk Recipe
4 cups filtered water
¼ cup raw organic shelled hemp seeds
¼ cup raw organic pumpkin seeds
Dash sea salt
Dash cinnamon
Dash vanilla
2 pitted dates
Add the ingredients to a high speed blender and blend on high for two minutes. Store in a glass container in the refrigerator for up to one week. This seed milk is great with granola, in smoothies or straight from the bottle. Enjoy!
